On our guided tours, you get more than just glaciers, mines, snowmobiles and huskies. Driver and guide Magnus Huseby grew up in Longyearbyen and is more than happy to tell first-hand stories about life in the mining town and meetings with the miners.


In Svalbard, the children did not have bazaars with red juice and cinnamon buns. They had steering wheel sleds. And they used it to whip miners who were going to have a beer from the mine down to the pub. Play and fun in Svalbard was something quite different from on the mainland. And the children knew how to use the facilities in Longyearbyen
